The inevitable march of the hands!
Yoo-hoo! I'm going to live for another 45 years! Says the deathclock!
So many things to do... places to go..so little time.
How long are you going to walk this earth?
This brings to my mind one of my favourite poems, 'Stopping By the Woods on a Snowy Evening', written by Robert Frost.

STOPPING BY WOODS ON A SNOWY EVENING
Whose woods these are I think I know
His house is in the village though
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake
The woods are lovely, dark and deep
But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep

Winnie the whooooooo?
A group of kindergartners were trying very hard to become accustomed to the first grade. The biggest hurdle they faced was that the teacher insisted on NO baby talk! “You need to use ‘Big People’ words,” she was always reminding them. She asked John what he had done over the weekend? “I went to visit my Nana.” “No, you went to visit your GRANDMOTHER. Use ‘Big People’ words!” She then asked Mitchell what he had done “I took a ride on a choo-choo.” She said “No, you took a ride on a TRAIN. You must remember to use ‘Big People’ words.” She then asked little Alex what he had done? “I read a book” he replied. “That’s WONDERFUL!", the teacher said. “What book did you read?” (I love this) Alex thought real hard about it, then puffed out his chest with great pride and said, “Winnie the SHIT"!!!

A Lesson to Learn...
An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do. After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.
The old woman smiled. Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pots side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.
Each of us has our own unique flaw. But its the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You have just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.
