Comfortably numb...

Once again, Mumbai will don the garb of the Mumbai spirit and oft-romanticized resilience and bounce back to life. Once more it will wipe its tears (only to flow freely when Mihir Virani battles for his life) Once again Mumbai will combats its fears with the help of its daily diet of saas-bahu serials and the serial blasts will soon be a distant memory. Once again its anger will dissipate and apathy will take its place. Once again...

(Thanks for all your messages, emails and phone calls enquiring about my safety..am deeply touched)

  4. I dont know what the solution is to the problem of terrorism is - but its definitely not violent retribution.

I read people saying "We should march to Karachi" but then do we even who the enemy is?

Resorting to violence is exactly what they want us to do coz it justifies their actions and ordains them as martyrs!

Perhaps the only way to destroy terrorism is perhaps to reinvent the world without religion...without patriotism...without boundaries...a fantasy i know. But then perhaps peace itself is a fantasy!

  6. y'all can't even get the civic administration to fix the storm water drains. Every monsoon season it's the same story and the monsoons are far more predictable than terrorist attacks.

If Mumbaikars are hoping there would be no more terrorism they are soundly mistaken. Like a battered wife who'd rather commit suicide than stand up for her rights, they are the perfect victim.
