The worst is not over yet!

Days after the massive tidal waves ravaged the coastline of eight Asian countries, the known death toll has crossed 1,23,000, with untold number of people still missing, as the cataclysm resonated! Each day seems to bring on more distress. The tsunami has left a large number of bodies, washed ashore, most of them yet to be found. Four days after the disaster, hundreds of bodies still lay under the debris of ravaged buildings and some even lay scattered in waterlogged fields. Bodies have littered the streets of several coastal regions in India, Indonesia and Sri Lanka. The worst nightmares of medical experts have come true

Water-borne diseases like cholera, diarrhea, malaria and typhoid are the worst diseases stalking the survivors. Shortage of medicines and disinfectants is another hurdle.

Homelessness, starvation, threat of epidemics, false alerts triggering off panic attacks.....

Will the nightmares ever end?

Animals, they say have an uncanny sixth sense. Did they have a forewarning of the quake?
